Things that are better than Revenge on an Ex

Lots of women have revenge fantasies. Hell hath no fury like a women scorned. Beyond that, a new movie called “The Other Woman” proves it. Here Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton and Leslie Mann team up together to get revenge on a guy who was with all three of them at once, and married to one. But what does revenge really get you? You feel good for a few minutes and hopefully didn’t make a fool of yourself, or get arrested. Beyond that, you put the focus and the spotlight on your ex. What’s more, that person looks amazing now. Why would you go through all that trouble for someone who wasn’t worth it? You see, you give them more attention and notoriety for acting out revenge tactics on them. So instead, here are things that are better than revenge on an ex. Why not put your energy into a whole new makeover? The best revenge might be looking great. You could start a new exercise regimen, hopefully one that is easy to stick to, upgrade your diet, get more sleep, get a new haircut, a new outfit, maybe a whole new look. You’ll get someone ten times better than your ex. Think about how jealous they will be. And this time the focus is on you. If you want to be better than your ex, don’t sink to lower behavior, opt for higher behavior. Volunteer. You’ll be an angel and he’ll look terrible as a consequence. Oh, and you could help people or animals, your choice. What’s not to love?

Reinvest in yourself. Learn another language. Visit a new country. Take an art class. Write a blog. Compose a musical score or take up an instrument. Find yourself. This isn’t just a break up, it’s a time for renewal and self-discovery. Use that energy to find the things that have been missing from your life and resurrect them. Why not get rid of your ex on all your social media sites? It isn’t going to make either of you happy. But getting rid of them is slightly appealing, don’t you think? Work on being successful. Go back to school or night school. Find out ways you can move up in your job or get a better one. Learn some software on your time off to upgrade yourself, bring your entrepreneurial skills to light and start a business or start looking for what your new passion project is going to be. Do you want to have a little ritual and celebrate the end of your old life and the beginning of your new one? Why not have a party? Divorce parties are all the rage now. You can have a breakup party and celebrate on a smaller scale. Or once you’ve healed, if it’s been emotionally painful for you, what about a coming out party, once you’re ready to get back out there and start dating again? Lastly, if there’s someone else who’s cute that you’ve had your eye on, why not flirt with them? There’s nothing like a little friendly flirting online or in person to help ease a broken heart and make you feel attractive again.
